Marie Lyall Interior Design
Marie and I worked on several projects together. Her goal was to uplevel her portfolio and begin submitting her work to design magazines. We worked together hand in hand, meticulously dialing in the composition for each shot. I wanted to make sure we showcased the features that were most important to her style.
We averaged 12-15 shots per day. Some artificial light was used in the kitchen and then composited afterwards. This was essential because of the vast reflective materials. In most cases, using diffusion material with the natural light can create wonderful photos that capture the spirit of the design. During post production, there is significant effort put into dialing in the colors. Each photo must accurately showcase the designer’s or architect’s intent and style.
