Legacy at Carr- Neighboring Concepts
Neighboring Concepts is a fantastic architectural firm based in Charlotte, and this was my second project with them. They’re driven by a powerful mission and do amazing work for our community. I also encourage you to check out Nourish Up, a local non-profit they proudly support.
The Legacy at Carr was photographed in three segments. On my first attempt to capture the exteriors, the sprinkler system kicked on just as I was about to start—one of those things you can’t predict. So, I focused on the interiors, which went smoothly, and rescheduled the exteriors for the following week.
When I returned, it had just rained heavily. Since the building sits on a slope, a lot of water had pooled in the driveway, and it didn’t look right in the shot. So, I had to reschedule yet again.
No worries, third time’s the charm! It was the rainy season, so I needed a two-day window of clear skies. We finally got it, and the shoot came together perfectly.
The interior design was done in-house, and the general contractor was Weaver-Cooke. I’m excited for our next collaboration!
